SharePoint 2013 for Site Collection Administrators

SharePoint 2013 for Site Collection Administrators

Bascom Bridge’s SharePoint 2013 for Site Collection Administrators training course teaches attendees how to manage and customize the security, features, performance, content, and search capabilities of a SharePoint 2013 site collection.

SHAREPOINT 2013 ADMINISTRATION TRAINING OBJECTIVES

  • Use the Site and Site Collection administrative utilities
  • Manage Site and List Templates, Web Parts, content types, and the Site Collection
  • Use Site Collection web analytics
  • Secure the Site Collection
  • Define term sets and keywords for searches
  • Manage Metadata and Navigation

SHAREPOINT 2013 ADMINISTRATION TRAINING PREREQUISITES

Attendees should have experience using a Web browser and interacting with Web-based systems as well as hands-on experience with SharePoint 2010 or 2013 from an end user perspective. Experience with Microsoft Office (2010 or later) is strongly recommended.

SHAREPOINT 2013 ADMINISTRATION TRAINING MATERIALS

All attendees receive comprehensive courseware covering all subjects in the course.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • Microsoft Office Professional 2013 (or 2010 if necessary), with the latest updates
  • Internet Explorer 9 or later
  • A SharePoint 2013 server also needs to be available for class, with each attendee having her/his own site collection within the server. We have an easy-to-use setup sheet that describes how to prepare the site collections for the class, and we can even check your setup remotely via WebEx after it is completed.
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
