Bascom Bridge’s Oracle 12c for Administrators course introduces the many powerful capabilities of the Oracle database and teaches administrators the skills necessary for day-to-day administration of the Oracle 12c database management system.

 

ORACLE 12C ADMINISTRATION TRAINING OBJECTIVES

All students will:

  • Learn the core day-to-day administration tasks required of an Oracle database administrator.
  • Understand the administration sub-specialties such as backup and recovery strategies, database performance tuning, security administration, and more.
  • Learn how Oracle database installation integrates with its host environment, most commonly Linux, Unix or Windows Server.
  • Use the SQL command line, the Enterprise Manager Database Express, and the Enterprise Manager Cloud Control interfaces.

No prior experience is presumed.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • Intel dual core i5 or faster processor on a 64-bit operating system with at least 4 GB RAM
  • A complete installation of Oracle 12c

  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
