Introduction to Oracle Application Express 5

Bascom Bridge’s Introduction to Oracle Application Express 5 training teaches attendees how to create small, simple web applications from scratch.  Students also learn how  to move their data (and applications) from a single user environment such as a spreadsheet, or Microsoft Access application, to a database repository.

ORACLE APEX 5 TRAINING OBJECTIVES

All students will:

  • Discuss the Oracle APEX architecture
  • Use SQL Workshop/Utilities
  • Build a database-centric Web application using Application Builder
  • Build a Websheet application
  • Administer an APPLICATION EXPRESS Workspace
  • Use Team Development to manage APEX development projects

ORACLE APEX 5 TRAINING PREREQUISITES

All students should have an understanding of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

ORACLE APEX 5 TRAINING MATERIALS

All students receive comprehensive courseware and a related textbook.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • One shared APEX environment, running Oracle Application Express 5, with a separate APEX account for each student
  • Each student computer will need a web browser and Oracle SQL Developer installed.
  • Please contact us for detailed setup instructions if you have purchased this class.
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
