Introduction to Adobe RoboHelp 2017

Bascom Bridge’s RoboHelp 2017 training course teaches attendees how to create and deliver online user assistance via help systems, knowledge bases, and other approaches using RoboHelp.

ROBOHELP 2017 TRAINING OBJECTIVES

All students will learn to:

  • Create a RoboHelp project from scratch.
  • Add content via importing from Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, PDFs and HTML.
  • Enhance your content with graphics, dynamic effects (DHTML), and multimedia (eLearning content created using Adobe Captivate).
  • Improve the navigation of your content by adding hyperlinks, indexes, and glossaries.
  • Improve your production efficiency by learning about cascading style sheets, variables, snippets, and master pages.
  • Control the look of the final WebHelp output via Skins.
  • Deliver content to the iPad and other tablets, smartphones, and desktops using output formats such as Responsive HTML5, Multiscreen HTML5, WebHelp, Microsoft HTML Help, Adobe AIR Help, PDF, and eBooks.

ROBOHELP 2017 TRAINING PREREQUISITES

No prior experience is presumed.

ROBOHELP 2017 TRAINING MATERIALS

All attendees receive comprehensive courseware covering all topics in the course.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • Core 2 Duo or faster processor with at least 3 GB RAM
  • Windows 7 or later with the latest service packs and updates
  • Web browser with the latest Flash Player installed
  • Microsoft Word 2010, 2013, or later, or Office 365, with the latest service packs installed
  • Adobe RoboHelp 2017 with the latest updates installed
  • Optionally, interaction between RoboHelp 2015 and one or more of the following products can be covered:
    • Acrobat X, XI, DC, or later
    • Captivate 8 or later
    • SharePoint Server 2010, 2013, or later
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
