IIS 8 Administration

IIS 8 Administration

Bascom Bridge’s  IIS 8 Administration training class teaches attendees the fundamental principles of web server administration and how to administer Microsoft Internet Information Services 8.0 or 8.5.

Note: This class can be taught using IIS 8 (Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8) or IIS 8.5 (Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1).

IIS 8 TRAINING OBJECTIVES

To learn how to install, configure, performance tune, troubleshoot, and cluster IIS 8.

IIS 8 TRAINING PREREQUISITES

No prior experience is presumed. If your group has prior IIS administration experience in an earlier version, we can tailor this training accordingly.

IIS 8 TRAINING MATERIALS

All students receive a copy of Wrox Press’ Professional IIS 8 and related materials.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2 or Windows 8 or 8.1, with recent Service Pack updates and at least 4 GB RAM
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
