DevOps Foundation

Bascom Bridge’s  Introduction to DevOps training gives attendees a solid foundation for managing dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of servers using Chef, the operations management platform used by Facebook, Target, Nordstrom, and many other successful enterprises. This course supports both Linux and Windows platforms and is the first step on the way to Chef Certification.

DEVOPS TRAINING OBJECTIVES

All students will learn how to:

  • Use Chef Configuration Management
  • Manage a large number of servers
  • Manage and integrate Linux and Windows platforms

DEVOPS TRAINING PREREQUISITES

  • Writing code (of just about any flavor) in a text editor
  • Working on the command line
  • Basic system administration – installing packages, configuring those packages, starting a service
