Developing and Administering SQL Server 2014 Integration Services (SSIS)

Developing and Administering SQL Server 2014 Integration Services (SSIS)

Bascom Bridge’s  Developing and Administering SQL Server 2014 Integration Services (SSIS) class teaches attendees how to use SSIS to build, deploy, maintain, and secure Integration Services projects and packages. SSIS is used to extract, transform, and load data to and from SQL Server.

SSIS TRAINING OBJECTIVES

All attendees will:

  • Create sophisticated SSIS packages for extracting, transforming, and loading data
  • Use containers to efficiently control repetitive tasks and transactions
  • Configure packages to dynamically adapt to environment changes
  • Use Data Quality Services to cleanse data
  • Successfully troubleshoot packages
  • Create and Manage the SSIS Catalog
  • Deploy, configure, and schedule packages
  • Secure the SSIS Catalog

SSIS TRAINING PREREQUISITES

All students should have prior experience working with SQL Server 2014. Some basic programming background is helpful, but not required.

SSIS TRAINING MATERIALS

All SSIS 2014 training students receive a copy of Wrox Press’s Professional SQL Server 2014 Integration Services and a related lab guide.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • At least 6 GB RAM
  • At least 10 GB free disk space
  • 64-bit Windows 7 or later, or Windows Server 2012 or later, with the latest service pack updates.
  • A full installation of SQL Server 2014 (server and client tools), including Integration Services, with the latest service packs applied
    • Use SQL Server Developer Edition on Windows 7 or 8, or Enterprise Edition on Windows Server operating systems
  • Excel 2007 or later with the latest service packs installed
  • SSDT-BI for Visual Studio 2013
  • An accessible SMTP server or forwarder (and optionally Outlook or another email client)
  • Related sample databases and lab files that Accelebrate will provide
  • If you have purchased this course, please contact us for detailed setup instructions.
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
