Introduction to Articulate Storyline 360

Bascom Bridge’s  Introduction to Articulate Storyline 360 training teaches attendees how to use Storyline 360 to create self-paced, engaging, and highly interactive training applications for web browsers and mobile devices.

Note: This class can also be taught using Storyline 3.

ARTICULATE 360 TRAINING OBJECTIVES

All students will learn to:

  • Design an eLearning interface most suitable to subject matter, target audience, and deployment method (desktop computer or mobile device)
  • Add text, photographs, shapes, illustrations, characters, audio, video, screen recordings, and web objects
  • Provide access to job aids and other learning resources
  • Make effective use of animation to draw attention to key elements of a slide
  • Add instructional dialog to your course and sync the narration with display elements
  • Develop engaging interactions to keep the user’s attention and encourage exploratory learning
  • Use branching to direct learner paths
  • Incorporate review questions
  • Design assessments and surveys

ARTICULATE 360 TRAINING PREREQUISITES

All attendees should have fundamental PowerPoint skills. While PowerPoint will not be used in class, many of the features of PowerPoint are replicated in Storyline 360. Prior experience developing eLearning applications is helpful, though not required.

ARTICULATE 360 TRAINING MATERIALS

All attendees receive comprehensive courseware.

SOFTWARE NEEDED FOR EACH PC:

  • Windows 7 or later, with the latest service pack updates and at least 3 GB of RAM
  • Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or later
  • Web browser
  • Articulate Storyline 360 (trial version can be used)
  • Sound card and speakers
  • Microphone (recommended)
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
