Advanced Adobe Captivate 2017

Bascom Bridge’s Advanced Captivate 2017 training course teaches attendees the higher-end, more sophisticated functionality of Adobe Captivate. Students learn how to create responsive, cross-device eLearning lessons from scratch and how to fine-tune their production skills by using object styles, master slides, themes, advanced actions, and a wide array of other useful tools.

  • Improve their screen recording skills via project templates
  • Create and produce video projects that will enable them to record screen actions in real-time
  • Import questions into Captivate using the GIFT format
  • Create a random quiz using question pools and random question slides
  • Create eLearning lessons that reflow to fit on just about any kind of display (including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smart phones)
  • Create responsive projects from scratch, and how to edit and produce responsive content
  • Fine-tune their production skills by learning about object styles, master slides, themes, and advanced actions
  • Engage the learner by using variables, widgets, and interactions
  • Create branching scenarios that will enable learners to plot their own learning path
  • Ensure their eLearning and mLearning output can be used by people with disabilities by adding 508-compliant features
  • Work with SCORM, SCORM Cloud, AICC, TinCan, SCOs, and Manifests
  • Upload a published lesson into a Learning Management System

All attendees should have attended Bascom Bridge’s Introduction to Adobe Captivate 2017 training or have comparable experience.

All attendees receive comprehensive, illustrated courseware covering all topics in the course.

  • Windows 7 or later, or Mac OS X 10.9 or later, with the latest system updates and at least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB or more recommended)
  • Adobe Captivate 2017 or later with the latest updates installed
  • Microsoft Office 2007 or later (especially PowerPoint and Word)
  • Web browser
  • Adobe Flash Player (recent version)
  • Headset with microphone (optional but recommended for voice-over work)
  • For classes delivered online, all participants need either dual monitors or a separate device logged into the online session so that they can do their work on one screen and watch the instructor on the other. A separate computer connected to a projector or large screen TV would be another way for students to see the instructor’s screen simultaneously with working on their own.
